Great news. The Bhaktabandava Team has made rapid progress, especially considering that they were only brought into this a few months ago. Thank you so much for posting this encouraging news.

How can the weight of such a grand design be supported by such thin concrete pillars?

Surely iron girders should make up the skeleton of the building or else we invite danger of collapse.

Sorry if I am disturbing the jovial mood here!

The first floor floor has been poured, now we have an actual building.
Gadadhara prabhu; that’s the way that they build in India, there’s very few steel framed buildings here. The nath Mandir is built the same way. Even the huge new iskcon Vedic planetarium in mayapura, which towers above srila Gurudevas Samadhi Mandir, is built using this method of pouring reinforced concrete.

Yes, thanks Venu prabhu I realize that now, but I was concerned by the skinny pillars. The link I posted recommends RC buildings have improved seismic strengthening with the addition of RC infill walls. I just watched the latest video update of the samadhi build and I am pleased to see this is happening with brick and mortar infill walls.

    Jaya Nitai! :)

My dear Godbrothers, is so pleasing to see that the seva is being done quite fast and beautifully.
I would like to ask something. It says in the financial update, •It has been reported that the balance of Phase 2, or Ground Floor section, has been financed by Bhaktabandhav Seva team and is in final stages of completion (has not been completed so financial figures haven’t been finalized).
Does that means that still there is not enough money for complete this stage?
Some persons are interested in give donations but I could not find in our websites clear explanation about the project. Some presentation explaining what is this all about, it`s importance for the world, service necessities, glories of Srila Gurudeva or somethings like this.
In the bhakti projects.org there are explanations of many projects but I could not find about Srila Gurudeva Samadhi mandir. Can I find this anywhere? Specially western people like to see some official information or some web site and then they feel inspired to help. If anyone knows, please tell me and for sure I know few more people who will provide good help.

    Dandavat pranams!
Srila Gurudeva patita pavan ki jaya!

    Caitanya das.
