Dandavat pranams. Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Jayatau
The Auckland and Christchurch devotees are very grateful to have had the visit of Pujyapad Madhava Maharaja and Brajanatha prabhus in New Zealand from the 19th February to 2nd March 2013.
They had both lunch time and evening programmes (held in devotees’ homes) though the last few programmes in Auckland, were held at the (currently being refurbished) beautiful, new centre in Panmure, Auckland.
During the above visit, it was the most auspicious appearances of His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Maharaja, Param Gurudeva Pujyapada Bhakti Prajnana Kesava Maharaja and Pujyapada Gour Govinda Maharaja.
His Holiness Madhava Maharaja spoke extensively on their glories, giving many anecdotes and accounts of their illustrious, devotional activities. He also spoke of many other topics including the sambhanda, abhideya and projanan of bhakti, as well as varied pastimes of Bhagavan and his exalted bhaktas. All the devotees were very enlivened and informed by his profound knowledge and presentation of Hari katha, and also his sweet character in relating to the children as well as the general assembly of devotees through his natural vaisnava demenour of kindness and encouragement.
It was also very enlightening and enlivening to hear Brajanatha prabhu’s bhakti discourses, and seeing both him and HH Madhava Maharaja together, had the particularly sweet and unique characteristic of evoking our memories of Srila Gurudeva, and at the same time increasing our separation mood from him.
Many thanks to these great souls travelling throughout the world to spread and preach Srila Gurudeva’s mission and desire, and we all hope they will be back very soon to grace us with their saintly, pure sanga.
Aspiring for the mercy of the vaisnavas
