Prabhuji… your explanation on gurudeva’s darshan gives us a better understanding on those lectures we’re impatiently looking for… and also this new book with gurudeva’s more in-depth from VCT commentaries. Can’t wait to hear and read.

    Jay our beloved gurudeva,
    See you soon in Badger,
    Gita devi dasi.

I asked Srila Gurudeva what he will speak on at Badger festival this year. He said that he will speak on the commentaries of Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakur from the 10th Canto, what he is presently editing for publication. Gurudeva often speaks on what he is currently writing about, that is his meditation and absorbtion and fresh in his mind. This will be a new and fresh topic for Badger, as he said, ‘no one has given it before’. We know that Srila Prabhupada only gave a summary study of 10th Canto in KRSNA book, and HG Hrdayananda Swami followed up with commentary of some of the acaryas. But, what Srila Gurudeva will give will be more in-depth from VCT commentaries as well as his own bhava bhasya, his realization. He said, hearing this we will forget everything of this world (mother, father, brother, wife, children, etc) because it is so nectarian to hear and meditate upon. He also said he wants to speak in Hindi, so his thoughts can more freely come out and he can fully express himself. As Hindi and Sanskrit are more complete languages in terms of expressing spiritual topics, whereas English requires many more words to express the same idea.
I also asked Srila Gurudeva to clarify how Nanda Maharaja and Yasoda Devi followed dvadasi vrata for one year. I was thinking that they followed some special rules for dvadasi everyday for a year, and it never made sense to me. What are the rules for Dvadasi (except what is given in Jaiva Dharma, eating only once, abstaing from sex, etc.)? He explained that it must have been mahadvadasi, or ekadasi, and they followed ‘like us’, in other words fasting every ekadasi and strictly following the rules and regulations (like staying up all night doing sravana, kirtana, vishnu smaranam), twice a month, for a whole year. THey did this not every day, but every ekadasi, twice a month. In this way they gained immense spiritual benefit and got the boon to have a son (this is lila of course they are nitya parikaras). This demostrates the power of ekadasi. Abarisha Maharaja also did like this.
The darshan was edited considerably so I hope this fills in the gaps and helps you to understand more what took place there. I also asked some personal questions about my seva which Gurudeva kindly clarified.

Thanks Radhakanta prabhu for giving this nice transliteration of the nectarean words emanating from Srila Gurudeva’s lotus lips.
I wish sooo much I could be in Badger, especially after seeing this beautiful and sweetest darshan.

      Dandavats and thanks,

Thanks so much Prabhuji for your detailed recount of this Darsan, with a preview of the Badger festival….nothing less than the commentaries of Srimad Bhagavatam, 10th canto of Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakur, PLUS Gurudev’s own realizations…

Most blessed and fortunate are those special devotees and visitors who will be able to attend!

I WOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL TO THAT SPECIAL SOUL WHO WANTS TO HELP OTHERS–IF HE OR SHE WOULD WANT TO TELL IN BRIEF ABOUT GURUDEV’S DARSAN WHEN HE GAVE A PEVIEW OF HIS BADGER HARIKATHA…
BUT I KNOW EVERYBODY IS VERY BUSY TRAVELLING THERE…
SO LET’S HOPE FOR THAT SPECIAL, SPECIAL SOUL.
(I DON’T WANT TO GIVE UP SO SOON.)

HARIBOL! Would some compassionate devotee write for me and for anyone else in the sad case as me–that has a computer with NO SOUND, in summary what Gurudev has said will be his TOPIC for the Badger Festival?
We would be most grateful to such a devotee.
    Thanks a million in advance,
    Krsna Kamini
