“First Remember Him And Then Me” – Srila Narayana Maharaja about Srila Prabhupada
Transcript from an address by Srila Narayana Goswami Maharaja to his disciples (dated 1999-01-04):
If I have helped you to remember Swamiji, your Prabhupada, Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja, then my preaching is successful. And if I’ve not remembered Swamiji, then my preaching is very few ….. (?) Only I’ve come to [give] this; that you should all remember this very high class of Vaisnava devotee sent by Krishna Himself and Caitanya Mahaprabhu. [He is] …the disciple of, a very attentive devotee of Srila Bhakitsiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Thakur. So you should always remember him.
If you are not remembering him and doing bhakti, I think that is not good. That is not…, that is bogus. He is the backbone of bhakti in the Western and Eastern countries. So you should always remember him. First remember him, and then me. Then I will think that my preaching is successful.
Gaur Premanande. Haribol!

Oh, Srila Gurudeva…my heart is melting after seeing this video clip, and hearing your instructions, reminding me of my love for Srila Prabhupada, and reminding me of his instructions.
Yes, your preaching has been most successful, because there are many disciples of Srila Prabhupada, including my fallen self, who have become stronger on the path of Bhakti, due to your travelling all over the world, and encouraging everyone you met, to be strong in their Krsna Consciousness.
Despite all obstacles and inconvenience, you have given freely of your own prema, and we are swimming in that ocean of love and affection. How can we ever repay your kindness towards us…………….
