“I wish someone would have warned me, so now I am warning you.”

“For various reasons, common people do not easily develop faith in exalted personalities who are still living, whereas they tend to develop great faith in the activities of mahájanas who have passed away”
- Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur Mahasay in Jaiva Dharma ch. 12

What to speak of common people, within our Gaudiya Vaisnava societies, Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Gosvami Maharaj, Srila Gour Govinda Maharaj and Srila Bhakti Svarup Damodar Maharaj were even banned by a group of leaders.

Then after passing away they were declared to be great Vaisnavas by those same men (see resolutions). After such mad-elephant offences, why would one place faith in their “clarification” on Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Gosvami Maharaj’s relationship with Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada that existed before they even ever heard of Srila Prabhupada?

I can imagine devotees not wanting to read these words and reject them as being political. But I wish someone would have warned me in the time of Srila Gour Govinda Maharaj. I missed out on his association because i believed the words coming from those men.

So if you prefer to stick with the writers of those resolutions and do not wish to associate with Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Gosvami Maharaj, no harm, no problem whatsoever. But I don’t want to be guilty of not having warned you against the false propaganda, as i wish i was in the time of Srila Gour Govinda Maharaj.

Together with your understanding i am hoping my sincerity is accepted and any offences are forgiven. Wishing everyone the best in their Krsna Conciousness, no matter which society or Guru they belong to.

Aspiring the service of Sri Guru and Vaisnavas,

Ramananda das

    Haribol, pranams.

There are so many wonderful sites here to browse, on “Back to Bhakti”, and so much to learn and become inspired by.

It was encouraging to read all the comments.

Excellent post Ramananda prabhu! and I agree with all the other devotees excellent points also.

The only point I might add is that Self Realisation is by definition is not a collective process otherwise we would all have come to know these truths at the same time.

    Good point Ramananda Prabhu.

By good fortune I never was afraid of any controvercies.
I understand one point ; if pure guru wants to preach in the world full of tamo and rajo guna, it is impossible to do it by avoiding politics. Politics are in rajo and tamo guna.
In the mode of goodness there is no politics but then there will be no preaching… maybe in satya yuga or somewhere in bhajan kuti in some holy place.
Anyway as I heard “controvercies make inteligence stronger” so they can be very helpful in KC.

    Haribol!

Thanks Murali Dhar prabhu, for adding your comments.

As stated in scripture: “One’s so-called prowess, when employed against the devotee, cetainly harms he who employs it. Thus it is the subject not the object who is harmed.” ( Bhag. 9.4.69 )

It is by his mercy that Srila Narayana Maharaja is giving all of us this opportunity to avoid the aparadha of not speaking out against this false propaganda toward the Lord’s pure devotee. To act in defense of a vaisnava is not only ethical but is proper vaisnava ettique as stated in sastra.

    Jai jai Gurudeva!

Nice point Ramananda prabhu ji. I fully agree. Even although I have tried hard to avoid any controversies, it would be harmful to let all the injust accusations go on without a rebuttal. Thanks again.
